Costa Fortuna cruise ship

Costa Fortuna

Costa Fortuna

With decor and design inspired by great Italian figures – and hallmark features of the nation’s proud shipping history running throughout its themed lounges, the Costa Fortuna is a charming and atmospheric choice for your cruise holiday of a lifetime.

Whether you want lively entertainment and exciting activities, lazy days and relaxed evenings – or a mixture of both depending on your mood – a holiday on this ship will be, as its name suggests, a truly fortunate experience.

From the first sight of the spectacular central atrium you’ll be taken on a tour back in time with superb models of the Costa line’s most beautiful ships greeting new passengers to their modern counterpart.

And the names of great vessels from yesteryear are brought right up to date, lending their mystique and magic to the restaurants, bars and entertainment lounges where you’ll enjoy your cruising time from early morning until late in the evening.

Ship Highlights
    •    Four pools, including one with retractable cover and one with waterslide, six Jacuzzis
    •    Four restaurants, including Club Grand Conte speciality.
    •    Three-tier theatre, other live entertainment lounges.
    •    11 bars, including cognac and cigar bar
    •    Spa with gym, treatment rooms, sauna and Turkish bath
    •    Multi-sports pitch and outdoor jogging track
    •    Squok kids club with Playstation entertainment, Virtual World
    •    Casino.
    •    Nightclub.

Entertainment and Recreation
With lovely sun decks, two large whirlpools and four great pools, including one with a waterslide that the kids will love, you can splash, swim or just soak up the sun sipping a juice or cocktail.

There’s a running track and a well-equipped gym for the more active as well as a quirkily authentic tennis court complete with stadium style seating for that big-match ambience.

You can stay fit and trim at the Costa Fortuna’s health centre or, if you need some pampering, treat yourself to a revitalising therapy or beauty treatment in the spa.

Evening entertainment is enjoyed in luxurious lounges whose style is enchanting and cosy rather than big and brash.

The bigger shows and more lavish musical productions take place in the elegant Rex 1936 Theatre and there are also great live music, including jazz and cabaret acts in the Bar Conte Verde 1923.

You can dance the night away, either in real ballroom style on the polished floor of the gorgeous Conte di Savoia 1932 Grand Bar or to the latest chart tunes at the exciting Vulcania disco.

There’s more live entertainment at the Conte Rossi 1921 Piano Bar or you might choose to have a flutter at the Neptunia 1932 casino.

Youngsters have their own activities and fun at the Squok Kids club, in the high-tech Virtual World or they can choose to just hang out with their new-found friends.

Wining & Dining

Evening dining is one of the big events on the Costa Fortuna and you can enjoy your formal meal in fine style in the sophisticated splendour of the Michelangelo and Raffaello Restaurants where the ship’s expert chefs will present an array of delicious dishes, with daily specials  displaying the very best that European cuisine can offer.

If you prefer to select your meal from a bountiful buffet then you’ll want to head for the Cristoforo Colombo 1954 which surrounds the pool decks for a casual dining delight. It will then transform to an exciting pizzeria from 9pm until 2am.

For a special occasion, or if you want the flexibility of a la carte dining in real exclusive surroundings, then the Club Grand Conte 1927 is a chic choice for the ultimate in haute cuisine for an extra cost which you’ll find well worth it.

For a relaxing drink and a chat you are spoilt for choice, from the great cosmopolitan meeting place that is the Bar Europa, to the Classico Roma where you can enjoy a glass of fine wine, a cognac and a cigar, to the exciting cocktails in the Conte Rosso.

Make your choice but, most importantly of all, take your time. The Costa Fortuna is not a cruise ship where you’ll want to rush anything, there’s too much to savour!

And so to Bed...
Cabins on the Costa Fortuna are attractively designed and well-appointed with two lower beds that can convert into a queen-size, private bathroom with shower, interactive TV, phone, mini-safe and hairdryer.

You can choose from inside, outside and balcony cabins or suites.
