Olde Hansa Medieval restaurant Town Hall Square, Tallinn, Estonia www.oldehansa.org
Olde Hansa was established to honour the Hanseatic League and our forefathers and foremothers. We have dedicated ourselves to this task in order to take you on a journey to Tallinn's golden age.
Olde Hansa is the home of a rich merchant, whose guests enjoy delicious, authentic Hansa-era meals and drinks, true period music and always friendly service. All of the dishes on the menu, including many wild game delicacies, are cooked using 15th century recipes and methods. Medieval musicians delight the guests every night of the week except Mondays. Tallinn Card holders receive a sweet treat with every meal purchased - a bag of freshly roasted almonds, on the house!
Many frequent travellers would say that you haven't really been to Tallinn unless you've visited Olde Hansa. This Mecca of mediaevalism in the heart of Old Town doesn't just serve historically authentic fare made from carefully-researched recipes, it provides guests with a whole experience using a combination of candlelight, waiters and waitresses in period costume and medieval background music. Chamber musicians round out the ambience every night of the week. Make sure to check out Olde Hansa's Waggehus located just around the corner at Vanaturu Kael 8.
Opening times: Open 11:00 - 24:00.
