Amsterdam, Netherlands

This week on Top Travel join Fez and Anesu as they jump continents to cycle Amsterdam, try a little cheese farming and discover how the picturesque windmills of Zaans Schans turn the ocean into land.

They then head to the blooming splendour of Keukenhof Gardens to lose themselves in a sea of tulips, taste a little green star farm-to-table dining at De Kas Restaurant, nestled within a stunning greenhouse, paint Delft pottery and print a Rembrandt.

Our beloved couple then conclude their adventure, and this episode season, with a tranquil canal cruise, a quintessential Amsterdam experience offering unrivalled views of the city’s timeless beauty.

Watch the final episode of Season 4 Saturday at 8:30pm on S3, repeated Sunday at 1.

ACTIVITIES

Restaurant de Kas

Harvested in the morning, on your plate in the afternoon. Farm to table cooking from the gardens in Amsterdam & De Beemster.

Restaurant de Kas has been working with this philosophy, from plant to plate, since 2001. It’s in their DNA. Their gardens in Amsterdam and the Beemster are the heart and soul of their restaurant and their menu. They reflect the changing seasons and never fail to surprise.
In their gardens – greenhouse and open air – they grow around 300 varieties of vegetables, herbs and fruits. Harvested at the very last minute and prepared in the kitchen as quickly as possible.

Experience true spring at Keukenhof

Keukenhof, the most beautiful spring garden in the world! It is an icon for the floriculture sector, for the flower bulb region and for the Netherlands. In spring, Keukenhof and the flowering bulb fields attract visitors to our country as there are few other crowd-pullers at that time of the year. The park is a ‘must see’ destination on travel itineraries.

If you’re looking to visit Keukenhof, they will be open again in 2025 for the flower season, from 20 March – 11 May.
